BrightDoor Tees Up Sponsorship of Ginn Open LPGA Golf Tourney (March 28, 2006)
Perhaps it’s only fitting that BrightDoor Systems, which has developed a first-of-its-kind solution for orchestrating real estate community sales experiences, is serving as a key sponsor for the Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open LPGA Golf Tournament, the first-of-its-kind, full-field LPGA Tour event in the state of Florida for all of 2006.
Scheduled for April 27-30 in Orlando, Florida, the inaugural event will be played at Reunion Resort & Club of Orlando on a composite layout of two of the resort’s renowned courses: the Arnold Palmer-designed Legacy and the Tom Watson-designed Independence. The event’s $2.5 million purse — the tour’s largest of 2006 — is drawing some of the LPGA’s biggest names, including Annika Sorenstam and Cristie Kerr. CBS Sports will televise the final two rounds of the four-day event, putting the Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open in elite company among the tour’s major television network broadcast packages.
“Sponsoring this exciting LPGA Tour stop is a natural fit for us, since The Ginn Company is using a complete BrightDoor technology solution at its Quail West community in Naples [Florida],” said Deven Spear, BrightDoor CEO. “Bobby Ginn’s team is a leader in the amenity community world — they’re known far-and-wide as a ‘company that does it right’ — and we’re delighted to be invited to participate in what’s certain to be a first-class event.”
